ABOUT

Joan Hawksbridge was born in Ottawa. She received a B.Sc in. geology from Carleton University. Since 1980, Hawksbridge has shown her work in many solo and group exhibitions including Durham Art Gallery, Lindsay Gallery, St. Thomas Art Gallery as well as Visby, Sweden. Her work has been seen many times at Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Owen Sound. Joan's work is represented in many private collections, as well as the permanent collection of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery.

Hawksbridge has served on Regional and Provincial Artist juries since the 1980's. She has been included in lecture series, and has been invited to submit drawings and illustrations for a number of projects.
