Certain moments evoke memories. Through my child, I relive my childhood. I also invoke the life of a sister who died as a child before I was born. Events reverberate through the generations. Ghosts of the past move through my work. We too are ghosts, ephemeral, moving through time. My imagery is not appropriated from the marketplace, popular culture, mass media, or technology. Rather, I paint familiar domestic interiors, where my reflections, stories, relationships, remembrances take place; where my inner and outer worlds come together.
