About Patricia Goss: Sculptor

Patricia Goss passed away on New Year's Eve in 2020 at the age of 101. She was still carving stone well into her late 90's.

"I have been a painter all my life, and was an art teacher at the National Ballet School in Toronto for 25 years. But I have found stone to be the most fulfilling medium.

"I started studying in Canada, but my interest led me to work with Carrara marble in Italy, Tinos marble in Greece, and Portland limestone in England. I also work with Canadian limestone and alabaster. Now I sculpt full time, have had four one-person exhibitions, and been in several group shows. I have won the Shanks Award through the Haliburton School of Fine Arts two times."
