ART TOWN 2008
NEW! THIRD THURSDAYS

Art Town is an artists' collective in the City of Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, promoting the work of over 20 professional artists and craftspeople since 2000. In 2008, we are initiating a project called THIRD THURSDAYS, where studios and galleries around the City of Owen Sound will be open the third Thursday evening of each month, from 4 to 9 pm, May through September. Art Town will be acting as the co-ordinating group.

The dates will be May 15, June 19, July 17, August 21 and September 18. More details are available on the event page.

Owen Sound is a small city but we have a large number of artists and craftspeople who either live in town or have their studios here. The Art Town Collective puts on special events during the year, for visitors to meet the artists personally and view their recent work in such media as drawings, watercolour, oil and acrylic paintings, marquetry, jewellery, clay, sculpture, knitting, pastels and wood carving.
